Beginning Wordpress

WordPress is the simplest, most popular way to create your own website or blog. In fact, WordPress powers over 33.6% of all the websites on the Internet. 

In this introductory class, you will learn how to set up a server, install Wordpress, and learn how to configure themes and plugins to create your own website or blog.  This class will meet August 20 and 27 from 7pm to 8:30pm.

Registration is required.  

Getting Started with Drupal

Drupal is a popular open source content management system. With its powerful and advanced features, you can build complex websites with ease, compared to building them from scratch. 

This two part introductory class will teach you how to set up a server and install Drupal, learn the basics of the software, and how to leverage Drupal for your own website or as a skill to offer employers.  The class will meet August 6 and 13 from 7pm to 8:30pm.

Web Design 101

Start at the beginning. Learn how to make websites from scratch. 

All websites are based on two computer languages—HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)—and both are easy to use.

Learn the basics of website design using HTML and CSS, and practice making basic sites in this four week class.  The class will meet July 9, 16, 23, and 30 from 7pm to 8:30pm.

Registration is required.  

Computer Class: eMedia: Overdrive, Hoopla & Kanopy

Learn how to download audiobooks and ebooks with Overdrive (eZone), stream and download audiobooks, movies, and music with Hoopla, stream movies with Kanopy.

Bring your laptop, tablet, or smart phone, your library card and library card PIN number, to set up your account and to practice streaming and downloading.

Hoopla and Kanopy are available to residents with a valid Warwick Public Library Card.

Microsoft Word: Basics

Learn how to create letters, resumes, and other documents.  Learn how to save and print your work. Practice basic editing techniques, setting margins, inserting pictures & more.

This session will meet in the Large Meeting Room of the Warwick Public Library.
