The Warwick Public Library has been awarded a “Libraries Lead with Digital Skills” Grant.


Libraries Lead with Digital Skills, sponsored by Google, is an initiative of the American Library Association and the Public Library Association to ensure that public libraries across the nation receive ongoing access to free tools and resources to help everyone across America grow their skills, careers, and businesses.


The library will run four programs based on this in the grant, read more below and click the links to sign up.

 

Digital Skills for Everyday Tasks:  Google Docs

Monday September 16th, 6:30pm—8pm

Learn about the Cloud and how to use Google Drive to create and store documents and information with Google Docs. Explore how Google Drive can help you collaborate on projects and stay organized. A Gmail account is required to attend this session. For assistance in setting up a Gmail account before the class, schedule a Tech Help session at the Reference Desk or by visiting https://warwicklibrary.org/tech-help-appointments.

 

Digital Skills for Everyday Tasks:  Google Sheets 

Monday September 23rd, 6:30pm—8pm 

Use Google Sheets to create a to-do list while practicing how to navigate, enter, and manipulate data in a spreadsheet.   A Gmail account is required to attend this session. Grow with Google:  Getting Your Business Online 

Tuesday, September 17th, 6:30pm—8pm

Google My Business is a free profile tool that businesses use to manage their information across Google Search and Google Maps. By keeping your business information accurate and up-to-date, customers can easily find and connect to your services.  Learn the basics of Google My Business to ensure your customers are finding you.

Tuesday, September 24th, 6:30pm—8pm

Once your business has a Google My Business profile, this class will work to answer questions to help you use that profile to relate with your customers and attract attention to your business.  Google My Business is a free profile tool that businesses use to manage their information across Google Search and Google Maps.
