Cancelled: 50 Years of The Band’s Music from Big Pink

Starting as a backing band for Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan on his contentious 1966 tour, The Band worked with Dylan on The Basement Tapes before stepping out on their own.

Music from Big Pink is the watershed first album that opened the door for roots rock and propelled rock luminaries such as Eric Clapton and Pink Floyd down new musical paths.

Join Steve Starger for a celebration of 50 years of Music from Big Pink on Tuesday, March 13 at 7 p.m. Hear how the album was made, listen to the entire recording, and talk about what the music says to you.

This event is free and open to all. Drop in for a fun time.
