Tre Maison Dasan: A Documentary Film about Rhode Island Boys with Parents in Prison

Join filmmaker and RISD faculty member Denali Tiller for a showing of the documentary movie Tre Maison Dasan (2018) on Wedesday, January 23 at 7 p.m.

See an intimate portrait of three Rhode Island boys growing up with a parent behind bars.

Meet tough 13-year-old Tre, smart 11-year-old Maison, and sensitive 6-year-old Dasan, and get a kid’s-eye-view of what it’s like to live in a society that demonizes your mom and dad, gives you little support, and assumes “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

After the screening, talk about the film with Denali and Maison.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and Urgent Care Warwick and is free and open to all. Drop in for an exceptional night.
