What Did Paul and Other Writers Say About the Role of Women in the Early Church?

Join Dr. Stephen Finlan for a two-part exploration of what Paul and other writers said about the role of women in the early church on Tuesdays, February 19 & 26 at 7 p.m.

From the start, church leaders disagreed on the role of women in the church. Some welcomed women leaders—including naming Junia as an apostle—while others wanted to prohibit women from teaching men. Discover the perspectives of early church writers and how they debated the issue.

Dr. Stephen Finlan is a graduate of the University of Durham in England and has taught at the University of Durham, Fordham University, Seton Hall University, and Providence College. He is the author of eight books on church history and theology.

This event is free and open to all. Drop in for a fun time.
