As guests gather for a getaway weekend at a resort in the Catskills, a snowstorm is gathering also, cutting the travelers off from the outside world. Having such a luxurious shelter against the storm should be about relaxing in front of the fire, and snuggling up with a good book and a glass of wine. Alas, it is not to be. Soon the power goes out and when the first guest dies, the rest of the group hope it is due to natural causes. When the second guest dies, the other guests begin to realize it was no accident, but still consider the possibility that there is someone else hiding at the Inn. It is terrifying when the characters begin to turn on each other.
This is a character-driven mystery and each guest has something in their past or present that contributes to the uncertainty of who the killer is. This book is very suspenseful, keeping the reader guessing until the last minute, and resolving in a satisfying way.
