The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The book, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, is a story following Santiago, a sheep shepherd. I enjoyed following him on his journeys. This is the story of a young man who goes through many ordeals and trials. Situations become progressively getting more complex and dangerous. I was always excited to read his next challenge and obstacle, and was impressed with his solutions. The author put many messages into the book, and the young man achieves an understanding of them as he progresses on his journey, which brought some relation to my own understanding of things. Magical events and dangerous situations leave the story full of amazement for any reader.
