The Dungeoneers by John David Anderson

This is a fantastical story set in a world similar to DnD. While the characters you meet later on tend to fill their standard roles to the adventure party(i.e warrior, mage, druid, and rouge), they also have their own quirks that make them that much more memorable. This, alongside the book’s incredible world building and funny character interactions, makes you feel immersed in the world that Anderson has created. If you want a change of pace from your average “defeat the endgame boss” linear plot structure to more of a relatively slow-paced journey where you fall in love with the characters and their world, then this might be the book for you.
