Stephanie Perkins’ Anna and the French Kiss is a heartwarming novel that takes you on an exciting journey with Anna as she navigates her way through a new school in Paris. She is faced with boy troubles, the ups and downs of friendships, and how to live in a new city where she doesn’t speak the language. Luckily, the beautiful and charming St. Clair is there to help her through her struggles, which include being distracted by his beauty. As Anna falls for the taken St. Clair, she is sent on a roller coaster ride of emotions that only make her more confused. Perkins’ vivid writing draws you into the book, experiencing the same emotions as Anna throughout the story. This coming-of-age feel-good novel was a pleasure to read as I could not put the book down. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to all teens interested in a captivating story of finding oneself through the experiences of navigating senior year, new friendships, and romance.
