My Hero Academia Heroes Rising is a movie that takes place towards the end of season 4 of the anime. Midoriya and his classmates enroll in a safety program and are on an island helping the small community that lives there with their daily lives. They mainly do everyday chores or small services due to how low the crime rate on the island is. This program serves to help improve their skills and experience as heroes. Everything is going well, until a group of villains led by their Leader Nine ensue chaos onto the island in search of a certain quirk so that he may complete his plans for the world. As Nine and his group of villains attack the island, it is up to the students of 1-A to hold out until the top heroes are available to help assist. The storyline is generic to all other superhero movies, but the longer one watches it the more addicting the movie gets. The movie starts off in a relaxing way, until tension is built up by the villain cast. All the characters from 1 A get a decent amount of screen time, and the animation quality of the fights is some of the most top tier out there for 2019. Throughout the movie we are able to see how the personalities of Katsuma Shimano, and Mahoro Shimano develop and change by the end. This movie also does justice by making Bakugou seen as more of a hero. Whereas in the anime Bakugou has a more rival and antagonistic role. That is if you can get past his rude attitude and loud yelling. It also shows how similar Bakugou and Midoriya are to each other towards the end and reinforces what being means to them. Although the film is non canon it does use information related to the prior season, so in order to enjoy the movie to the fullest one must be caught up with the series. But with the film being only 1 hour and 44 minutes long and being a movie of the very successful show my hero academia, I definitely think it deserves an 8/10 if not higher.
