Kindred by Octavia E. Butler

This is a good book to read because it shows you how people had to live back then during slavery. The book is about a black women from the 1970ś, who gets stuck in the past and how she survives in the slavery period. Its interesting how she has to adapt to the different period and how she changes the way she lives. Along the way shes meets Rufus who is the slave owners son, and she thinks that is why she was called to back in time, to help him become a man. Her husband also came but hes white so he has to act like her master which is werid for them. If you like Science fiction and historical fiction this is a good book for you.
