Echo, written by Pam Muñoz Ryan, is a story that any reader is sure to enjoy. This story weaves through the lives of completely different people, and shows how they were all connected by music. More specifically, one particular instrument. Now I know, some people might not feel intrigued by a musical book, but I was the same way. I do not listen to that much music, or have a great knowledge on the topic for that matter, but I still found the book to be very difficult to put down, as it was a great read. This book reveals the different situations of people. Whether music was their dream but they were in a poor job, or if music was their getaway from everything that was happening in the world. Music is something that can bring people together. People have hobbies that could be the same, whether that’d be playing a sport, reading and writing, or solving puzzles, so this story is relatable in that sense. Therefore, I would highly recommend the story Echo by Pam Muñoz Ryan for anyone looking for a great read.
