Basketball Junkie by Chris Herren

In the book Basketball Junkie by Chris Herren, we see Chris express his own life experiences as they unfold his dark truth. Chris is a basketball player from Fall River Massachusetts. He is so good he makes it to the big leagues but he also battles with his drug addiction. Dabbling in hard drugs his whole life we see the real struggle of a “Junkie.” Juggling both basketball and hard drugs is no easy task and as his life starts to crumble we see how he bounces back. We see how someone can overcome negativity if they have the right mindset. We see how someone with no hope can prove himself.
