A 78-year-old balloon salesman named Carl Fredricksen, is about to fulfill one of his lifelong dreams. After tying thousands of balloons to his house, he flies away to the South American wilderness. But grumpy Carl's worst nightmare comes true when he finds a little boy named Russell stowed away in the balloon-powered house, When it comes to the characters, I loved them all, bad-tempered, widower Carl, stowaway Russell, bizarre adventurer Charles Muntz, the big bird, and the funny Doug. Russel could be a bit annoying at first, but he ends up growing on you. This movie can definitely be enjoyed by those of all ages and is perfectly paced. It's an emotional story about an old man dealing with loss and going towards his dream to live on the falls, a heart-warming concept. The idea of a house flying through the sky powered by balloons is very creative and interesting. I love it. The entire story is inspiring.
