The Way Back

The Movie "The Way Back" is a fantastic movie that has the main character Jack Cunnigham (Ben Affleck) turn around his life by coaching his former High School's basketball team. When he was in high school, he could have gone to a high profile college program and the pros after that, but decided to walk away from the game. The plot has a motivating vibe to it, but this is not one of those movies where one can predict the plot or ending. You learn several things about Jack's past like why he has a drinking problem, why him and his wife are divorced, and his child, each tying perfectly to an unpredictable falling action. It will break your heart, will have you rooting for Mr. Cunningham, and cringing at several of his past and current decisions. The movie was filmed days after Affleck left treatment for alcoholism, so this movie seems so real as the main character has recently faced several of the same problems that he faced here. I highly suggest this movie to anyone who's down that is looking for a way to work their way back up.
