Weathering With You

Weathering With You, is a Japanese animated film made in 2019. It tells the story of a 16 year old boy, Hodaka Morishima, who runs away from home and tries to find his own life in Tokyo City. Early on in the movie, Hodaka meets a young girl who is able to control the weather, briefly able to stop the torrential downpour afflicting Tokyo. They build a new life together and run into obstacles along the way. This movie features characters who are closely bonded together and shows to what lengths people will go to care for those they love. I would recommend this movie to teens and adults.
