The story follows the life of young Coriolanus Snow as a mentor during the 10th Hunger Games. There are many interesting plot twists that help keep the book fresh and intriguing. The book is broken into 3 parts, which makes the large book feel less overwhelming when you’re reading it. This is a must-read for any fan of the Hunger Games. Even though the book is a prequel, I would recommend reading the whole Hunger Games series first. There are some points in the plot that make more sense with the prior knowledge from the series. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would rate it a 9/10. The reason I wouldn’t rate it a 10/10 is because there are some points in the plot that are a little slow and don’t move the story forward.
