Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

Jane Eyre is a classic novel that will make you think about your independence, or rather, dependence, on others and what kind of life you want to lead. The novel recounts Jane’s life starting from when she is a young girl. I loved how each encounter she had with another served as a lesson for Jane, and she was able to take with her important ideas and spiritual sentiments that helped her make decisions. Each stage of her life brought new friendships, loves, hardships, and blessings that made the story fun to read. Charlotte Bronte really made me think about marriage, society, religion, and independence, as well as how others play a role in my life.
