The Masterminds trilogy by Gordon Korman

The Masterminds trilogy written by Gordon Korman is an absolutely wonderful read. This series was nothing short of incredible. I could continue complimenting it all day, but let me tell you why I think this story is great. Four kids grew up in a place called Serenity, New Mexico. This town was perfect. Everyone had a steady income with a pool in their backyard. Everyone’s top priority was to be kind and truthful to everyone else. It was a perfect place. That is, until one day Eli Frieden notices something suspicious. After more investigation and finding a note that his best friend left before he moved away, Eli, Amber, Tori, and Malik find out that Serenity isn’t what they think it is, and they are not what they think they are. With this knowledge in mind, the four go against every norm and rule this “city” has ever taught them and do the unthinkable. From there, the kids continue to investigate and the truth becomes more and more apparent. This series takes you on a wild ride, and it is something that anyone would be sure to enjoy. The suspense keeps you wanting to continue to read at every possible second. Therefore, I would consider checking out the Masterminds trilogy by Gordon Korman next time you check out a book from the library.
