Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck

This book was quite an exhilarating read. It had so much action, emotion, and twists that it was hard to keep up! However, I did quite enjoy it. The main cast is all quite interesting, especially Lenny, with their own quirks and reasons for wanting to achieve their goal, which I'll leave you to find out when you read it. The characters have a defined goal, and a plan to get there, with all the roadblocks in between making sense and being quite interesting to see the characters get past. It’s also nice to see a book grounded in reality, fictional, and as intriguing as this. The ending is amazing, emotional, and shocking. My only real complaint with the book is that it puts too much time into introducing the characters and environment and not enough time into the ending and major details. However, I would still recommend it as, despite my minor gripes, it was still an interesting read.
