In my opinion, Rick Riordan’s Magnus Chase series is one of the best out there. A thrilling trilogy taking you through the life (or afterlife, if you will) of Magnus Chase, filled with adventure, comedy, and learning opportunities. Now, if you’ve ever read the Percy Jackson series, you would know that Rick Riordan teaches mythology through storytelling, and that same method applies here. (Fun fact, Magnus Chase is the cousin of Annabeth Chase, Percy’s girlfriend.) Focusing on Norse mythology, Rick Riordan writes about the story of Magnus Chase, a homeless boy who was actually more than what meets the eye. As the son of a particular Norse god, Magnus is abnormal. After managing to get himself killed and into Valhalla, Magnus embarks on quests that keep you on the edge of your seat. From fending off monsters to traveling throughout nine worlds, this series has it all. And for Marvel fans, this series teachers you where superheroes Thor and Loki stem from, educating you in very fun and interesting ways. So, if you are in dire need of a good book, I would highly recommend the Magnus Chase series by Rick Riordan as your next read.
