Code Orange

The book, “Code Orange” by Caroline B. Cooney is a thrilling story from start to finish. The book takes place in New York City, where the main character, Mitty, was born and raised. Cooney does a great job with the character development of Mitty, turning him from a careless and ignorant person to a kind, selfless, and trusting individual. The author does a fantastic job making a seamless, entertaining plot full of twists and turns. This book, although fictional, can teach you many things about a horrific disease that influenced the course of history, Smallpox. This page-turning book is truly a must-read.
