Feature Film: Paper Moon

Paper Moon Movie Still

Adults aren’t always in charge. Self-indulgent adults are easily controlled by sly children in the same way that cats outwit humans. Come for four tales of kids managing their adults on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

On April 21, see Paper Moon (1973), starring Ryan O’Neal and Tatum O’Neal. Moses Pray and Addie Loggins, a girl who might be Moses’ daughter, scam women who were recently widowed into buying expensive Bibles.

On April 28, enjoy The Bad News Bears (1976), starring Walter Matthau and Tatum O’Neal. Washed-up pitcher Morris Buttermaker coaches a group of inexperienced kids who were rejected by more competitive Little League teams.

On May 5, come for The Sixth Sense (1999), starring Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment. Psychologist Malcolm Crowe tries to make up for a past mistake by treating Cole Sear, a nine-year-old boy who can talk with the dead.

On May 12, watch Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2000), starring Sam Neal and Julian Dennison. Hector Faulkner and foster kid Ricky Baker hide in the New Zealand bush when Child Services tries to send Ricky back to the orphanage.

This event is free and open to all.
