Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Pride and Prejudice is a classic written by Jane Austen in 1813. Upon picking it up, I was quite intimidated due to the vocabulary and how famous the novel is. Now, I can say that it was definitely worth it. It was incredibly fun to submerge myself into a different time period and learn about what life was like. It is beautfilly written. However, there were plenty of times I didn't understand what was being said. Being written over 200 years ago, they obviously used different vocabulary. Using context clues I was able to overcome this, but it did set my back a little. The book was also slow in some parts. I have come to be very used to the high action fantasy of which I find myself reading a lot. Nevertheless, I understand why this book is such a classic and would recommend it for anyone else like me trying to find out what all the hype was about.
