Scythe is a dystopian fiction that begins in a world that has no death.The main characters, Citra and Rowan are introduced early on. Citra and Rowan live in a world with no disease or death, but with no disease or death comes over population. To combat overpopulation there are Scythes. Scythes are above all law and have the job of killing or “Gleaning”. Scythes are very distinctive amongst the public, they are dressed in colored robes with many having jewels and other jewelry. Citra and Rowan are approached by a Scythe, Honorable Scythe Faraday. Scythe Faraday chooses to take Rowan and Citra on as apprentices. Being a Scythes apprentice you become a scythe in training
