Grades 6-12
1. Use the online program. Sign up through Beanstack or the Beanstack App. If you have participated in the Summer Reading Challenge before, you can just sign in to your Beanstack account.
2. Log your reading time. Earn virtual logging badges for the time that you read. Complete 16 hours by Saturday, August 23 to finish the Challenge.
3. TEEN Prizes:
8 hours - A free book.
16 hours - A Goodie Bag with an Axolotl mini, fuzzy pen, a box of Airheads, and a virtual raffle ticket for a chance to win a Teen Grand Prize.
Prizes may be picked up between June 27 - August 30.
There are Challenges for KIDS and ADULTS as well. The only differences are the prizes.
KIDS Prizes:
8 hours - A free book.
16 hours - A wacky pen, a video game pencil case, a McDermott pool pass, a video game eraser, a car magnet and a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Kids Grand Prize.
ADULT Prizes:
8 hours - A library logo LED keychain.
16 hours - A library logo mug, puzzle book, Friends of the Library book sale coupon, $2 printing coupon, and a virtual raffle ticket for one of three prizes.
If you prefer, there is a paper log to use, however, it does not include the activity badges.
