Virtual VolunTEENS - Operation Gratitude

Every year, Operation Gratitude sends 300,000+ Care Packages to Soldiers | Sailors | Airmen | Marines | Coast Guardsmen deployed overseas, and their childen left behind.  Also to First Responders | New Recruits | Veterans | Wounded Heroes | and their Care Givers.  Each package contains snacks, hygiene products, entertainment, and handmade items, as well as personal letters of support.

Be part of Operation Gratitude's mission by doing one (or more) of these activities.

 

How It Works:
1. Click on Here's what to do for each activity to learn what you need to do to earn that service time.

2. Complete the activity.

3. Once activity is complete, please fill out this form

4. After your activity information is reviewed and approved, you will receive an email confirming your completed service hours. This may take a few days.

 

A.  HANDMADE WITH LOVE FOR SOLDIERS

When soldiers are deployed, receiving a handmade gift can really make a difference.  Here's what to do.  

ONE knit or crocheted scarf/hat = 3 hours of community service
TWO cool ties = 1 hour of community service          
TWO fleece scarves = 1 hour of community service
THREE fleece gators = 1 hour of community service
THREE drawstring bags = 1 hour of community service
FOUR fleece hats = 1 hour of community service

 

B.  PARACORD LANYARDS FOR SOLDIERS

These cool looking lanyards can save lives in emergency situations.  Here's what to do.

FIVE paracord lanyards = 1 hour of community service

 

C.  WRITE LETTERS TO HEROES

Write letters of appreciation to deployed troops, first responders, veterans, and wounded heroes.  Here's what to do.

TWO letters = 1 hour of community service
