WALL-E, short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class, is the last robot left on Earth. He spends his days cleaning up the planet, one piece of garbage at a time. But during the 700 years he's been on Earth, WALL-E has developed a personality, and he's become very lonely. Then he spots EVE), a new and rounded probe sent back to Earth on a mission to scan it. Captivated WALL-E takes off on his best adventure yet when he follows EVE across the galaxy. The idea of a movie about a robot finding a growing plant on a post-apocalyptic version of Earth and then setting off on an adventure to prove to the remaining humans, who have left the planet long ago, to come back is very original and engrossing, which is usually expected from Pixar. WALL-E is a very charming and memorable main character and although he can barely speak and only says a few words, his actions let us know what he's feeling. EVE is also an amazing character too, having a ton of considerable character development. At the start, she is a jerk to WALL-E before she later becomes friends with him after finding out that he has a plant. Just like WALL-E, she also doesn't speak much and can only form a few words, but we still know what she's thinking through her actions. This movie takes advantage of the approach; "Show, don't tell" and uses it to the full extent. Actually, apart from lines consisting of a few words between WALL-E and EVE, we don't hear full sentences until about 30 minutes into the movie, when the human characters are introduced. This film was touching and brought in little details altogether.
