The War That Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley

The book, “The War That Saved My Life” written by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley is amazing. It takes place in England during World War Ⅱ, and is about a young girl named Ada who has a disability. Her mother is cruel and mistreats her. She and her brother are forced to move from London to the Countryside to find safety due to the war. They end up living with a woman named Susan, and Ada begins to figure out where she belongs. She takes to riding horses, and the outdoors, two things she had never enjoyed/experienced while being locked up by her mother for 10 years. This book keeps getting better as you read it, and I give it 4.5 stars! I recommend it to anyone interested in books that are suspenseful. It’s a great read!
