So, I recently read the book When Dimple Met Rishi, and it was unbelievably awesome! The story begins with a girl named Dimple, whose mom is always on the verge of finding her I.I.H (Ideal Indian Husband). But that is not the case for Dimple. She breathes coding, and she lives to code, and she can’t care less about makeup, let alone her I.I.H. On the other hand, there’s Rishi. He’s the typical boy who still thinks of the 60s romance, and wants to be arranged because he believes in tradition and settled down. When they both meet, love works hard to prove itself! I really loved this book, especially the times when the author touches upon different areas like racism, love, friendship, and limits. I have read this book many times! There was a time when this book was really boring, since there were a lot of coding things in between, much of which I couldn’t understand. Sandhya Menon shows the readers what the characters feel, and takes the readers through an amazing roller coaster of a great story. I would recommend this book to everyone, if you want to relax your mind and cry, laugh, and cheer for the characters!
