The West African Kora is a 21-string harp from Gambia. Hear sprightly and romantic ancient tunes about hardship, war, and the warriors who fought for the Mande empire in West Africa over 500 years ago.
Sean studied under Malamini Jobarteh and Moriba Kuyateh in Brikama, Gambia and Youssoupha Cissokho and Mamadou Cissokho in Saly, Senegal and has performed at music festivals in Gambia, Senegal, and the U.S.
